Reviews and Ratings
I had the most beautiful view of the River Dee from my room, but the noise from people coming and going early in the morning was a bit bothersome. The room felt overpriced for its quality due to some fumes. However, the proximity to the Main Street and the River Dee was lovely, and it was great to have a drink in the gardens overlooking the river.
The hotel is situated perfectly for all that Llangollen has to offer, providing superb access to the area but could benefit from some updating. While the noise levels were high, causing disruptions, the location offers a great escape from the tourist crowds.
My stay at the hotel was mixed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but there was a strong smell of fresh paint in the first room and the housekeeping started stripping sheets early. The service was excellent with polite staff and good outdoor seating options. The location was convenient, close to the town center and river, but the fish and chips from a nearby place were disappointing. The dining experience, although included in the price, could do with some improvements in furniture and cooking. Overall, it was a good stay with friendly staff and a central location.
